This is another nice propless effect from THE UNKNOWN MENTALIST. I believe that you need to have a commanding personality to pull this off. The idea for this has been around in various forms for many years. This is a somewhat updated version. I need to think about how I'm going to present this before I use it myself. THE UNKNOWN MENTALIST HAS DONE IT AGAIN!!! I believe this is a GREAT effect for anyone interested in creating the illusion of doing a reading. My personal approach since I'm very serious natured is dropping the jokes about dropping the cards etc...however, if you want to make it more lighthearted then use the jokes. I haven't used this yet but I predict that the spectators reactions will be priceless. THE UNKNOWN MENTALIST has created a way to use this basically without memorizing anything and I believe that was unheard of until now. Having said that, I will personally prefer to copying the reading sheet so I can do this one on one with the spectator, hopefully, when we can meet with people after the corona virus is over. Of course, I will have to memorize all the information for the script. The big thing is that this is so versatile on how you want to do this effect you can't loose. The main thing is whether you choose to use this or not...YOU CAN'T LOSE, ESPECIALLY FOR THE VALUE OF THE EFFECT RIGHT NOW! This has my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION. Well done UNKNOWN MENTALIST. This effect I really like a lot from the UNKNOWN MENTALIST. Basically it is nothing new for the most part, but I can see it will really drive a spectator crazy. The nice thing about this is the UNKNOWN MENTALIST gives you quite a bit of detail on the scripting etc. for the most part. Of course, you will still need to add a bit of your own scripting also to give it your own personal touch and make it your own. At least that's what I'm planning to do. It's not really difficult to learn but will require a bit of time to give it your own personal touch. I will definitely use it along with Star Signature, Happy Birthday, and The 59 second birthday divination. It's really that good. Besides that it exceeds the $3.00 asked price. I give this my highest recommendation. By the way if you do this by phone you don't have to memorize a thing...just read your printed script in front of you.

The Unknown Mentalist graciously sent me Propless Bank Night several weeks ago. I liked it so much that I started performing it over phone once or even twice, almost everyday. Propless Bank Night has several things going for it. A simple process, easy to perform with a nice 'feel good' punch in the end makes it a truly anytime, anywhere over any medium kind of effect. In fact, I started making more calls under the pretext of catching up and then slipping in this routine in the call.

While performing to a stressed student, a worrying employee and a disappointed traveler, especially, I discovered some nice and new subtleties in Propless Bank Night. I have already shared these with the author and he may share it with other readers if he deems fit.This little gem has given me so much satisfaction in performing that I am willing to happily send over a hundred bucks to the author for sharing this.

If you want to go entirely prop less with a number of spectators, do this effect followed by SIGNATURE and then WORLDS WITHIN WORDS STAR SIGN ROUTINE. OR if you want a few props use this followed by ZODIAK GODS or HAPPY BIRTHDAY STRANGER or STAR SIGNATURE. Either way you can't go wrong. Once again, well done my friend. I thought of trying 2-3 different themes with 2-3 sets of participants, but simultaneously. When I tried on 3 couples parallely, it played so well, the gasps said everything.

A mature review is in order, I think. First up, I have read and understood both these books thoroughly. For the past 20 years I have been teaching undergrads and also performing magic & mentalism mostly for educational institutions.

When this was first released last month, I remember the price was $3. But by the time I got around to getting it, it got doubled to $6. So I went ahead and got Advanced Brain Knewmerology too for $3 while I still could. And on I am happy to say they are worth every penny I spent, if not more.

Although the author credits Martin Gardner for the origin of the basic idea, the extraordinary presentation given here which couches the math into a mystical theme elevates this to a whole new level.

Let me throw a little more light on the process itself without tipping too much. This routine is performed on 2 participants and NOT 1. Performer does not ask 'her' to declare ANYTHING. It is the 2nd participant who declares his final result. And you still reveal her thought - there is a beautiful "logical disconnect" if you understand what I mean.

And these days, you ask someone to add 2 & 3, they would pull out the calculator on their mobile phone anyways. You hardly find anyone doing math 'in their head' anymore.

The author has clearly mentioned "announcing" and "non-announcing" methods in these books. And as far as Advanced Brain Knewmerology is concerned, it is far more stunning and mind boggling.

Overall, a brilliant routine, I feel. Although it needs presentation skills and some basic audience management skills but these cannot be taught off the shelf.

I thought I had better write a review on this. This in my opinion is ONE OF THE BEST EFFECTS OF THE UNKNOWN MENTALIST. I give it a 20+ rating. If you like this make sure you also check out ELEMENTAL, and his STAR SIGN DIVINATION effects also. THEY ARE GREAT!!! Not from THE UNKNOWN MENTALIST, you might check out ASTRO GEMS which is a STAR SIGN divination and a different type of mental effect called FARMACOLOGY also. In my opinion they are also good mental effects and are sold by lybrary.com

I like this routine. So exquisitely crafted ! A true mentalist's delight. The first participant has a free choice of 14 precious stones. The second participant has a free choice of weekdays or colors.

And you can nail both their thoughts so dramatically. This theme is as mystic as one of the alternative themes in Brain Knewmerology where you nail their thoughts related to elements and planets. But here the choices get impossibly doubled.

The proof of pudding..... in a span of 3 hours I could manage to perform this twice. Once for a couple sitting across my table (advanced BK) and again on phone (just BK), the other side being a prominent politician and his colleague.

Got great reactions both times and landed some business too. The couple booked me for a gig. Got a deal on a promotion project with my politician contact.

Looks like I am going to use this often. Nothing to carry or prepare. But I plan to write down the 2-3 basic steps on the back of my business card to cue me just in case.
